Savills Australia has appointed Andrew Stewart as Managing Director of the Canberra office. For the past 17 years’, Andrew has worked for CBRE, with the last six years spent as Managing Director of its Canberra office prior to his role as Managing Director of the Mulgrave office, in suburban Melbourne.

Andrew’s primary field of operation had been in the sales and leasing of commercial property. Since moving to Canberra, Andrew was involved in a more diverse range of property including commercial office building, medium and high density residential development sites, hotels, caravan parks and industrial property in addition to his leadership role.

Preceding this, Andrew spent 12 years’ with Jones Lang LaSalle/Wootton, is a current board member of the Real Estate Institute of the ACT, a board member of Eastlake Football Club and a past Treasurer and a Commercial Branch committee member of the Real Estate Institute of Victoria.

Savills Australia CEO, Paul Craig, said the appointment was a major win for the Canberra office.

“We will use this expanding Savills platform to further explore opportunities covering government, private and institutional requirements, and to have someone of Andrew’s calibre leading the charge is a major coup as we enter a period of rapid growth in the Australian market” continued Mr Craig.
