Ivan Cleary has sold his Collaroy property.

THREE former Manly Sea Eagles players have sold their family nests back-to-back in a busy few days of real estate sales.

Ivan Cleary, who recently took up coaching duties at the Wests Tigers, sold the first property he ever bought — a classic three-bedroom beach cottage in Hay St, Collaroy.

It was here that he and wife Bec raised the first two of their four children, before they moved to larger digs, keeping the home for friends and family to use.

The home was due to go to auction this weekend, but Paul Franks, of Ray White Mona Vale, said Mr Cleary had accepted an offer from a local couple with three young children.

Mr Franks said he could not reveal the actual sale price, but confirmed it was more than the $2.2 million price guide.

“He was happy it sold to a young local family,” he said.

Mr Franks said the couple hoped to eventually knock the house down and rebuild.

Meanwhile, the Cleary family is staying put on the northern beaches, and planning a move further north up the peninsula.

Another former Sea Eagles great, Ray Brown, also sold his property on the weekend, a four-bedroom home in Ashton Ave, Forestville.

Sam Kearney, of Raine & Horne Forestville, said three bidders fought it out to buy the spacious home.

A family from the eastern suburbs won the auction on a bid of $2.2 million — a smidgen over the price guide of $1.95 million-$2.1 million.

“It was a fantastic result,” Mr Kearney said.

Completing the footy sale trifecta was the sale of 2 Cotswold Cl, Belrose, a four-bedroom home owned by Shannon Nevin, who played for the Sea Eagles in the 1990s before transferring to the Balmain Tigers.

Michael Buckley, of First National Frenchs Forest, said Mr Nevin’s home also sold under the hammer for $1.49 million — just above its guide of $1.4 million — to a local investor who plans to build a new house there.
