Peter Tyson, Robert Dunne and Will Carman of Savills Australia have been appointed to market the 5,272 square metre property at 56 Breakfast Creek Road, Newstead.

Savills National Director Peter Tyson commented “This unique site is located only two kilometres north-east of the CBD, in a high profile gateway location in the heart of Brisbane’s affluent inner north”.

“The Newstead – Teneriffe – Fortitude Valley axis has arguably become the most desirable development destination situated in inner Brisbane, within walking distance to the renowned Gasworks retail and restaurant precinct”.

Peter Tyson added “Sites of this scale with wide-ranging mixed-use potential in such prime locations are increasingly rare in today’s marketplace and this site will be seen as a trophy opportunity by residential and commercial developers alike.”

Savills colleague Robert Dunne, also noted “Newstead has an industrial-chic vibe featuring stylish bistros, cafes and craft breweries including other landmark precincts such as James Street and Brisbane’s new Mercedes headquarters.”

The site occupies a commanding position on the corner of the outbound lanes of Breakfast Creek Road and Dunlop Street, with enormous exposure to passing traffic on Brisbane’s City to Airport route. The site is close to all forms of public transport, including bus, train and ferry providing a high level of amenity for any project.

The site represents a unique project opportunity to acquire an ultra-prime holding zoned for a wide range of uses including residential apartments, retirement and aged care, education and health care, commercial office and retail development.

Savills will be marketing the site for sale by Expressions of Interest closing 15 July 2021.
