The sale was managed by Nick Lower, Selin Ince, Joseph Ganim and Leon Alaban of Savills Hotels who said that the sale was yet another example of unwavering demand for Hotels throughout NSW, the asset was discreetly placed to a specific group of operators and sold within only a matter of a few weeks of being offered to these parties.
Occupying an 898sq m* site, the hotel benefits from high vehicular and pedestrian traffic due to its central position on Murwillumbah’s Main Street. Facilities include a Main Bar, 21 Poker Machines, Café, Beer Garden, 16 Hotel Rooms and a Managers Residence.
Mr Lower said “We identified an operator that was keen to secure an asset in the region and we then strategically placed them with a corporate freehold investor.”
“Structuring the deal in such away provided an excellent result to our vendor, whilst both purchasers were pleased with the return on investment they expected to receive”, Lower added.
Ms Ince commented; “Pubs continue to transact at levels never witnessed before. After putting the asset to only a select few groups, the interest in the Hotel is testament to the security of the asset class.
"In terms of price, we expect that strong results will only continue for the foreseeable future even despite the disruption of the Covid-19 lockdown throughout parts of NSW at present.”
