2051 Moggill Road, Kenmore has been an established retail and professional services destination since 1965. It currently features seven tenancies, including national brands Aussie Home Loans, H&R Block and 12 Rounds Fitness plus a café and legal practice.

2051 Moggill Road was purchased for £1,360 by the current owner’s parents, Mr and Mrs Aubrey and Doris Deal in 1956.

Mr Deal was a builder by profession and a pioneer developer in Brisbane. He developed the single level retail strip shop building at 2051 Moggill Road in 1965 approximately five years after Moggill Road was upgraded from a dirt road to bitumen and tar and when Kenmore was in the early stages of transformation from a once wholly rural area.

The property is being offered to the market for the first time in almost seven decades by Jon Tyson and Michael Harcourt of Savills.

Mr Tyson said “2051 Moggill Road represents a unique investment opportunity to purchase a prime strip retail centre as well as a slice of local history in the tightly-held and highly sought-after metropolitan Brisbane location.”

He said the property boasts a high-profile location on Moggill Road opposite the Kenmore State School and the Coles anchored Kenmore Village Shopping Centre.

Mr Harcourt said the property benefits from a flexible District Centre zoning with development potential of up to four stories, subject to council approval.

“This property is very well positioned in a high exposure and easily accessible main road location and presents an opportunity for a new owner to add their own chapter to this small piece of history.”

“2051 Moggill Road provides a well-established and popular convenience retail and professional services offering to the Kenmore community. The fact that it is now for sale for the first time in over half a century, it is quite possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity.” Mr Harcourt said.
