In the end, two men, both from Melbourne, fought it out, with the number two featuring throughout the bidding.
Hodges, Geelong auctioneer Marcus Falconer brought the hammer down at $682,000.

“The buyer had a passion for two’s, and wanted all the bidding to progress with a two on the end, and eventually his love of the number two got it done,” he said.

Mr Falconer said the buyer plans to move in.
“They were renting over at Belmont but relocated here from Woodside six months ago,” he said.

“There’d been some good strong interest in the home, so it was a good result in the end.”
