Emergency services are responding to reports of a drowning off Cape Jaffa in the south-east of South Australia.
They received a call reporting a scuba diver was in difficulty at about 2:30pm.
Few details are currently available, but it is understood the man had been diving from a boat off the coast.
Paramedics are waiting for the vessel to return to the Cape Jaffa marina.
The area is popular with divers and swimmers because of its nearby reefs.
