A Parkville man accused of making a hoax bomb threat, forcing multiple CBD buildings into lockdown, has faced Melbourne Magistrates' Court.
Steven Mauldon, 33, has been charged with multiple offences, including possessing explosives, possessing weapons, making a hoax bomb threat, theft of a motor vehicle and drug trafficking.
He was arrested on Collins Street shortly after midday on Wednesday.
A police search of his parked Volkswagen allegedly uncovered a firearm and drugs.
Today, the court heard Mr Mauldon had suffered an injury during his arrest and needed to see a nurse.
"I see him limping," Magistrate Roslyn Porter said.
"That's right," his defence lawyer replied.
Overnight, detectives and Victoria Police's Bomb Response Unit searched a North Shore property in Geelong, where they are alleged to have found and seized multiple items, including "suspected explosive devices".
Mr Mauldon made no application for bail, and will face court again in July.
