A man has appeared in Tweed Heads Local Court today charged over the murder of a woman in Coffs Harbour.
Zachary Mills, 30, was arrested by Queensland Police in the Logan suburb of Park Ridge on Sunday.
Police found a 58-year-old woman with facial injuries at an Ocean Parade caravan park last Wednesday after responding to a welfare check.
She died in hospital yesterday.
Mr Mills appeared before the Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday, where New South Wales Police successfully applied for an extradition order.
In Tweed Heads Local Court today, he faced four charges, including murder, contravening a domestic apprehended violence order and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He did not apply for bail, which was formally refused, and is due back in court in December.
The City of Coffs Harbour operates the Big 4 Park Beach Holiday Park where the injured woman was found.
In a statement, they said they were aware of the alleged incident and were assisting police with their inquiries.
