Australia fast bowler Kim Garth has been reprimanded for swearing during the third ODI against India in Perth last week.

Garth was found to have breached level one of the International Cricket Council's code of conduct with the "use of an audible obscenity during an international match".

In addition, one demerit point has been added to Garth's disciplinary record, for whom it was the first offence in a 24-month period.

The incident occurred in the fourth over of India's innings, when Garth used inappropriate language after being struck for a boundary.

Garth admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Dave Gilbert after the umpires levelled the charge.

She returned the figures of 0-22 from four overs in Australia's 83-run win over India at the WACA ground last Wednesday.

South Africa's Chloe Tryon has been hit with an identical penalty for committing the same offence in the ongoing Test match against England in Bloemfontein.

Garth is a member of Australia's squad for the three-match ODI series against the White Ferns in New Zealand.

The series begins on Thursday at Wellington's Basin Reserve.
