AN IRANIAN-born “dentist to the stars” claims he was kicked off an American Airlines flight for arguing with cabin crew about Donald Trump.
Dr Shawn Sadri, whose dental practice works on the likes of actor Aaron Paul and DJ Afrojack, was returning from LA to New York on Sunday when the incident happened, The Sun reports.
According to the New York Daily News, Sadri was on the 6am flight after working on several guests who were due to attend to the Oscars in Los Angeles, when a Latino child in the seat next to him began to get upset about the upcoming trip.
The child then got out of his seat and ran down the aisle screaming.
When the cabin crew came to deal with the situation, Sadri, whose family moved to the United States when he was three, joked: “Maybe Trump is trying to deport him.”
The flight attendant reportedly snapped back: “Don’t say that.”
Sadri said he then told the flight attendant: “Fine, you must be a Trump supporter,” and she replied “What if I am?”.
He then told the flight attendant she was incompetent for not dealing with the young boy next to him properly.
After two more flight attendants joined in the conversation, he was then asked to leave the flight.
He told the New York Daily News: “I wasn’t yelling, I wasn’t swearing, it was 6am, I hadn’t been drinking.
“I’m a New Yorker — I’m not going to back down — and I was born a Muslim in Iran. I do think all those things played into it.”
Sadri was then put on another flight an hour later.
A representative for American Airlines told Sun Online: “A passenger was removed from our 6am PT (Pacific time) flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to New York (JFK) Sunday for being disruptive and not following crew member instructions.
“The passenger was rebooked, and flew, on the 7am PT (Pacific time) flight to JFK.”
