Savills Australia has appointed Anthony Ott as Managing Director of their Queensland business, following the recently announced retirement of Paul McLean.
Possessing more than 30 years of property industry experience, Anthony is presently Head of Agency for Savills Queensland, a position he has held since joining the firm in 2012.
Announcing the appointment, Savills Australia & New Zealand CEO, Mr Paul Craig said Anthony is well respected within the Queensland property market and the broader industry, and not only has an outstanding level of transactional experience, but also brings to the position, a wealth of leadership and management expertise.
“This is a very exciting appointment for Savills and we are delighted Anthony has agreed to lead the Queensland business into its next growth phase.”
Mr Ott said he was honoured to accept the position and excited by the opportunities that lie ahead to further grow and strengthen Savills presence and position in the market.
“Paul McLean has been a tremendous leader and has done an outstanding job in growing the Savills business to be a leading real estate service provider in the Queensland market. I am fortunate to be assuming responsibility for a business that has a great presence in the market and an excellent team of people,” Mr Ott said
Mr Ott said his primary focus as Managing Director would be to continue to grow Savills core business lines whilst also exploring opportunities to expand into new market sectors and geographies, if the business case supported it.
“We are a client centric business and therefore we will continue to focus on servicing our clients to the highest possible standard. If opportunities in new markets arise from this, we will be open to those opportunities.”
