Two NASCAR drivers have come to blows in pit lane after an aggressive manoeuvre by Joey Logano saw Kyle Busch spin out.

The attempted pass by Logano occurred on the last lap of the NASCAR Cup race at the Las Vegas Speedway, with Busch jumping the Pennzoil racer in pit lane after the race.

Logano said Busch tried to "pin" him, while Busch alleged he "got dumped".

"[He] flat-out just drove straight into the corner and wrecked me," Busch said.

As far as the pit-lane fisticuffs, it appeared there were not too many words exchanged.

"There wasn't much talkin', just a lot of swingin'," Logano said.

There was a mess of bodies in the mix and it was unclear exactly what happened, but when the pair was pulled apart Busch was bleeding from just above his right eyebrow.

And Logano was pretty happy with how things went, based on his response when he was asked if there were any shots landed.

"None to me," he beamed.

The punishment for the drivers could be anything from a slap on the wrist to a suspension, with a fine the most likely outcome.

NASCAR has rules pertaining to fighting that allow for "heat-of-the-moment" incidents, but Busch and Logano's fight probably falls in the harsher bracket of the conduct guidelines.

The guidelines state physical violence could elicit a competition-points penalty, a $50,000 to $100,000 fine or a suspension of just about any length.
