Cristiano Ronaldo has made another piece of history, becoming the first player to score 100 goals in UEFA European competitions.
His brace in Real Madrid's 2-1 win over Bayern Munich saw him edge rival Lionel Messi to the honour. Messi was first to break Raul's record of 76 but is now stuck on 94 European goals.
Unsurprisingly for one of the preeminent players of his generation, Ronaldo's European catalogue features some special goals. Enjoy a selection of the best.
Porto, 2009
This is still THE Ronaldo Champions League goal, no matter how many more he adds to his tally.
Right in his most energetic, explosive pomp, this was the sort of long-range thunderclap of a goal few players would attempt, let alone pull off with such apparent ease.
Seriously though. What's he doing shooting on the turn from there? What a goal.
Galatasaray, 2013
This one showcased the more elegant side of Ronaldo. The fast feet, the subtle shifts of balance, the ability to drop a shoulder and send three defenders into a vortex.
The Gala defenders were left utterly flailing as Ronaldo scythed through tiny gaps in their wall, sliding the ball left, right and eventually into the back of the net.
He's dancing on that football, downright doing the salsa on that thing.
Arsenal, 2009
Ronaldo really had a hell of a year in 2009. It was his last at Old Trafford, and though he probably didn't quite reach the heights of the season before, his catalogue of brilliance from that term is still near enough to unmatched.
This was also a time when Ronaldo's free kicks were feared, not playfully derided like that often are now. He was the master of the knuckle ball, and in this critical moment of the Champions League semi-final at the Emirates, decided to give it a wallop.
Poor old Manuel Almunia was made to look foolish — not for the first or last time, mind you — but when Ronaldo really got onto a free kick, there wasn't much hope for a keeper.
Liverpool, 2014
What's ridiculous about this goal is how un-ridiculous it looks to the naked eye. After a swift, one-touch move in midfield Ronaldo makes this finish look like a casual tap in.
But the degree of difficulty is absurd. The ball is sitting at an uncomfortable height, there is a defender right on Ronaldo's hammer and he has to somehow negotiate it across Simon Mignolet but still inside the far post.
It was chosen as the best goal of the 2014/15 Champions League, and who are you to argue with the good folks at UEFA?
Chelsea, 2008
Rise, young Ronaldo. Rise like a salmon and nudge that forehead at the ball like your life depends on it.
Watch him float above the Chelsea defence to give United the lead in the Champions League final of 2008. See the ball gently nestle in the bottom corner of the net before Petr Cech can register the chance had been made.
Ignore the fact he missed a penalty in the shootout and, if not for John Terry slipping over, would have been the villain of a heartbreaking loss.
