US popstar Ariana Grande says she is "broken" after a man detonated an explosive device at the Manchester Arena, where she had just finished performing.
Children were among the 22 people killed and dozens injured in the terrorist attack, British police said.
The 23-year-old singer and former Nickelodeon TV star is on an international tour supporting her 2016 album Dangerous Woman. Grande has cancelled that tour, in the wake of the attack.
A spokesperson confirmed Grande was unharmed, and she later posted on Twitter.
Her manager Scooter Braun released a statement saying their "hearts are broken" after the "senseless attack".
"We mourn the lives of children and loved ones taken by this cowardly act," Braun said.
"We are thankful for the selfless service tonight of Manchester's first responders who rushed towards danger to help save lives.
"We ask all of you to hold the victims, their families, and all those affected in your hearts and prayers."
Celebrities, including singers Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding and Harry Styles, posted on social media in response to the attack.
New Zealand singer Lorde said: "Every musician feels sick and responsible tonight — shows should be safe for you."
