A picture is worth 1,000 words.
And former White House photographer Pete Souza is certainly aware of this.
Souza, who worked as Barack Obama's photographer during his eight years as US president, has been posting photos of his old boss to his personal Instagram account since the day of Mr Trump's inauguration.
The photographer has been using the captioning and timing of some of his posts to draw fairly clear comparisons and commentary on the current President, and Mr Trump's first official overseas visit has proved no exception.
After this picture of Pope Francis meeting Mr Trump at the Vatican this week was doing the rounds on social media, due to the Pope's seemingly unenthused expression during their interactions, Souza posted this photo of Mr Obama and the Pope with the caption: "Mutual admiration, 2016."
The beginning of Mr Trump's visit to Israel earlier this week was overshadowed by speculation of footage of wife Melania appearing to brush off his attempt to hold her hand — and then again in Rome.
After the clip was widely shared on social media, Souza uploaded a picture from 2015 of Mr Obama and his wife Michelle, along with the caption: "Holding hands."
Earlier this month, after then FBI director James Comey was abruptly fired by Mr Trump during an ongoing investigation into whether his campaign had ties to Russia's election meddling, Souza posted an old photo of Mr Comey with Mr Obama.
Also shown in the photo is chief counterterrorism adviser Lisa Monaco, former director of national intelligence James Clapper, and Mr Obama's White House chief of staff Denis McDonough.
He captioned the photo: "Every person in this photograph is a patriot."
And back in March, after Mr Trump's unproven assertion over Twitter that Mr Obama "wire tapped" phones at his New York skyscraper, Souza posted a photo of Mr Obama on his phone, captioned: "Glad he only tweeted out facts with his device."
