One lucky WA punter looks set to have the long weekend of a lifetime, after scooping over $2.9 million in a game of poker at Crown Casino.
It is understood the winner had placed a bet on the casino's Progressive Poker Jackpot competition.
This means gamblers must play against the house, and get a royal flush on the flop - that is, the first three cards dealt out of five. Punters must place a progressive jackpot wager during any poker game for a chance to win big.
The punter was playing a game at 3.22am on Sunday morning when they were dealt the magic hand, and will be taking home $ 2,936,311 in winnings.
"We are pleased to confirm that a jackpot has been won by a patron," a Crown Casino spokeswoman said.
"The winner is a local but would like to remain anonymous."
