UK voters are having their say at the ballot box for the snap general election called by Prime Minister Theresa May in April, and once again we are seeing one of the best parts of any election play out on social media.

It is again that glorious time when #dogsatpollingstations begins trending, as Brits take their furry friends to the polls with them.

Polls closed at 10:00pm (7:00am AEST), but fortunately for us, there were plenty of puppers who made the trek to local and school halls — as well as assorted other animals who joined in the fun.
