The Mera development, 353-361 Miller Street, Cammeray.

A NEW development set to grace Miller St, Cammeray abutting Crows Nest promises “exceptional street appeal” with its exterior detailing of louvres, copper finishes and broad balconies spanning four residential floors.

Streamlined architectural form and smooth, clean curves will be key design elements.

Construction on Mera Cammeray is due to begin in December, with completion scheduled for mid- to late-2019.

Prices for the apartments will range from $895,000 to $2.695m.

Comprising 16 apartments, including eight two-bedders, five three-bedders and three one-bedders, the building will also benefit from a rooftop terrace, from which residents will be able to enjoy views across Sydney while conjuring up culinary delights using the space’s “summer kitchen”.

Prices for the accommodation will range from $895,000 to $2.695 million. Strata levies are expected to be $737.46 to $2258.46. Internal measurements range from 51sq m to 110sq m.

Designed by PBD Architects and developed by Central Element property developers, Mera will rise in a popular spot of the North Shore, not far from Cammeray Golf Club.

PBD Architects’ director Paul Buljevic said the design encourages a community feel.

“With a low number of apartments services of each level, various options for communal gathering and a crafted approach to this fluid design, it brings a new dimension to apartment living,” he said. He said the floor plates had been conceived to maximise the opportunity for solar access and cross-floor ventilation.

Wayne Chivas, Central Element director, described the style as “opulent and timeless in both design and materials”.

“The specifications for Mera Cammeray are high in quality and detail. Gaggenau appliances, oak floor and stone benchtops set a standard for the area,” said the head of interior design at PBD, Owen Rodgers.

Ray White selling agent Tim Abbott said location was key.

“It’s the village-type feel combined with the convenience, being only one set of traffic lights from the CBD.

“Active people can make use of the walking trails through Tunks Park to Flat Rock Gully and Willoughby Leisure Centre.”

Mr Abbott said he believed the target demographic would be a mix of downsizers and young professionals.

“The quality of the project will be suited to predominantly owner-occupiers, but lately, we’ve sold properties like Mera to investors who may reside in the property at a later stage in their lives.”
