The world's biggest festival of all things comics and pop culture has just about wrapped up for another year.
The San Diego Comic-Con is the place to be when it comes to getting a peek at the biggest TV shows and movies headed to screens in the next year.
We've been watching all weekend and rounded up all the biggest trailers that have dropped.
Stranger Things season two looks thrilling
Get ready to head back to the Upside Down with a new trailer for the second season of the Netflix smash hit Stranger Things.
It was so new, even the cast hadn't seen it.
Creators the Duffer Bros were joined by director Shawn Levy and stars Millie Bobby Brown, Matthew Modine and the crew of young actors who play a group of friends searching for their buddy who mysteriously disappears.
Three new cast members were introduced: Paul Reiser, Dacre Montgomery and Sadie Sink. Reiser plays a government official. Sink joins the group of boys. And Montgomery described his character as a "human antagonist".
Nobody panic. Ben Affleck is still Batman (and there was a Justice League trailer)
Affleck shot down rumours that he would be hanging up his cape for the stand-alone Batman film, even though he recently ceded directing responsibilities.
Speaking to a crowd of about 6,500 fans, Affleck unequivocally assured them that he is still starring in The Batman.
"Let me be very clear. I am the luckiest guy in the world. Batman is the coolest part in any universe, DC or Marvel," Affleck said.
With that out of the way, Affleck and his fellow Justice League stars Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher were left to talk about the upcoming film, which has had its own fair share of upheaval recently when director Zack Snyder exited for personal reasons and Joss Whedon took over the reshoots and completion of the film.
Another person missing from the panel was Superman star Henry Cavill.
When a young fan asked the actors if he'll show up in the film, Gadot reassured him. "We can't say much but if you love Superman you're going to be very, very happy," she said.
Warner Bros also teased a bit of Aquaman, out in December 2018, starring Momoa in the title role. A snippet of footage from the James Wan-directed film, showed fishermen who are quite surprised when something under the water catches on to the hook and starts dragging the boat along.
Spielberg went back to the future with Ready Player One
Steven Spielberg showed off footage from his hotly anticipated adaptation of the 2011 sci-fi novel Ready Player One, about a dystopian future where humans take refuge in a virtual reality world.
The 6,500-person crowd gave the director a standing ovation and cheered heartily at the trailer. Tye Sheridan stars as lead character Wade Owen Watts, who longs to have been born in the 1980s.
For Spielberg, the film was a chance to both go back to his heyday of filmmaking while also gazing into the future. Eagle-eyed viewers spotted references to everything from Tron to The Iron Giant in the footage.
"It was like the most amazing flash-forward and flash-back at the same time," Spielberg said.
Ready Player One opens in March 2018.
Marvel showed off The Defenders and Thor: Ragnarok
If DC's Justice League made a big splash, you should have known Marvel wasn't going to stay quiet.
The head of Marvel Television surprised fans at Comic-Con by showing the entire first episode of the new Netflix series The Defenders.
The show unites Marvel's street level superheroes Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Daredevil and Iron Fist.
For those of us that couldn't fly to San Diego, Marvel released a new trailer ahead of the show's premiere next month.
Keep an eye out for a fierce looking Sigourney Weaver playing the villain.
The comic book giant also showed off another trailer for the next Thor movie, due in November.
There's a wonderfully villainous Cate Blanchett, shirtless Chris Hemsworth, funky looking Jeff Goldblum and some sassy Loki banter.
All you could want in a trailer really.
Two classic cartoons are getting a reboot
If Stranger Things wasn't enough '80s nostalgia for you, Disney showed a reboot of its much-loved cartoon DuckTales.
Former Doctor Who star David Tennant will provide the voice of Scrooge McDuck.
Nickelodeon wasn't going to be left out of the nostalgia party, dropping a new trailer for the Rocko's Modern Life TV movie.
The cartoon was an afternoon staple on the ABC for Australian schoolkids and the new movie will be released next year.
