A man's body has been discovered in a park in Sunshine West.

Homicide squad detectives were called after the man's body was found about 10am on Tuesday at a reserve at the back of Cawood Drive.

While the exact circumstances of the man's death are unclear, investigators are treating it as suspicious at this stage.

The man's body was found in a stretch of reserve which separates the Western Ring Road from a housing estate.

He was found just metres behind the back fences of properties on Cawood Drive.
