WOOLLAHRA village has been a hive of activity this winter and a trio of hot new listings are likely to walk out the door.
The “magical” village is helping lure buyers to the home of “Dial a Paver” head honcho Craig Malouf — the man who paved Queen St. That’s at 139 Queen St, Woollahra, which has a price guide of between $7 million and $8 million through Prestige Properties principal Di Baker.
And Ben Collier of The Agency has just listed two terraces that are sure to be particularly popular.
The grand proportions of 80 Wallis St – the home of non-executive director at Bupa and Smith Family chief executive Lisa O’Brien – will win the hearts of an upgrading family.
There are five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a double garage … as Collier’s video suggests, buyers may well “fall in love”.
Between $6 million to $6.5 million is expected ahead of the August 19 auction.
The other hot new Woollahra listing is 36 Holdsworth St, home of architect Chris Yandle and wife Louisa.
No surprise that this four-bedroom, three-bathroom property is about remarkable design.
I love the contrast of the original sandstone and modern touches.
It’s up for auction on August 12. Mr Collier is quoting a guide of $3 million.
Among the long lists of comings and goings — Mr Collier’s sale of the Ian Moore-designed 35 Ocean St – owned by the New York-based banker Lawrence Holyoake and his wife, food blogger Heather Cox. That sold in the high $3 millions earlier this month.
Not forgetting the June sale of Winsome Halliday’s home at 131 Queen St, Woollahra, which sold for $9.6 million through McGrath east guru William Manning and colleague Dominique Ogilvie.
