ENTREPRENEUR Remo Giuffre — the man behind the popular 1980s Darlinghurst hotspot the REMO General store — has bought an investment apartment in North Bondi.

The long-time Bondi Beach local, along with his wife Melanie, paid $1.22 million for a two-bedroom apartment in a boutique block of six near the beach.

Raine & Horne Bondi Junction agent Tony Laing sold the apartment.

With great fanfare, Giuffre opened the doors to the REMO General store in 1988 on the corner of Crown and Oxford streets.
