555 Coronation Drive has been given a face lift, with eye-catching artwork by an Australian artist splashed across the walls of each tenancy.

The three-level office space has recently undergone a significant refurbishment, with four brand new fit-outs available for lease through Savills and CBRE, who have been jointly appointed on behalf of Centuria.

Peter Dodd of Savills Office Leasing is one of the appointed leasing agents, and said they are looking to provide tenants with a ready-to-go workplace.

“The four tenancies would suit aspirational smaller businesses that don’t want to be confined by what a traditional office should look like,” Mr Dodd said.

The four office spaces have been designed and furnished to reflect different themes: ‘detailed, fresh, enliven’, ‘enticing, uplifting, contemporary’, ‘welcoming, journey, textured’, and ‘quirky, daring, collaborative’.

Each tenancy features oversized artwork of the familiar famous faces of Audrey Hepburn, David Bowie, Muhammad Ali, and Prince, giving a burst of colour to the work environment.

“The artwork was completed by Scott Marsh, and we were really excited when Centuria said they were commissioning him to do some art in each tenancy,” Mr Dodd said.

Born in 1984, Marsh’s work is known for using a mixture of enamels, acrylics and aerosol, which explores the growing crossover between graffiti and high art, pop culture and the cult of the celebrity.

The available spaces range from 145sq m to 228sq m, all including boardrooms, kitchen / breakout areas, and 12-17 work stations, with high ceilings allowing natural light to fill the spaces.

Published by Forbes Online in May of this year, research conducted by Exeter University’s School of Psychology found that artwork in the workspace can have a direct impact on employee productivity.

The research undertaken involved a sample size of approximately 2,000 office workers in a series of studies looking at attitudes to and productivity. The research undertaken found that employees were 17% more productive working in enriched spaces (decorated with art and plants) than those in lean spaces.

“I would like to predict that we are likely to see more splashes of colour in new tenancy offerings.”

“A painting can alter the mood of a meeting room or a piece of unusual artwork can provide a talking point in a bland corporate space,” Mr Dodd said.

The commercial space is ideally located, with the site boasting clear views of the Brisbane River, and providing businesses with excellent opportunity for brand exposure given the prime positioning on busy Coronation Drive.

Mr Dodd said Centuria have actively managed the building with a number of upgrades and a major refurbishment.

“The building provides all the elements that tenants expect in today’s market including plenty of car parking, End of Trip facilities and well-maintained services.”
