Former Perth student Henri van Breda has been found guilty of murdering his parents and brother with an axe in South Africa in 2015.
Van Breda's parents Martin and Teresa and his brother Rudi were found dead at the family's mansion in Stellenbosch on January 27, 2016.
Facing the Western Cape High Court in Cape Town, van Breda was also found guilty of the attempted murder of his sister Marli, then aged 16, and of an additional charge of obstructing justice.
Marli suffered severe injuries and was reportedly unable to remember the incident, and did not give evidence.
Van Breda, who handed himself over to police in September 2016, had pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
In a marathon hearing, Judge Siraj Desai delivered a summary of the events for more than five hours before giving his verdict.
