"They surrounded us with the fire trucks and had the water running to keep people safe. They blew me away with their amazing resourcefulness," she said.
"We had a bushfire plan ready but the intensity and ferocity, and the speed with which it came through the property - nothing could have stopped it."
All farm animals including a turkey, chickens, pigs and sheep survived, as did the family's pet mice and crazy crabs, Ms Hoskins said, but the wildlife reserve surrounding the property was burnt.
She said the main dwelling where her family lives appeared habitable and that she had heard at least one neighbour's property had been damaged.
There are several blazes in the Great Southern region, including in Stirling Range National Park, where a watch and act alert has been issued.
DFES Superintendent Wayne Green said the large number of fires was stretching crews to their limit.
"Resources are absolutely stretched to the point where some of the fires that are coming in and being reported aren't even getting a response," he told ABC radio on Friday.
An evacuation centre has been opened at the Albany Aquatic Centre.
An emergency warning was issued for parts of Napier, Redmond and Marbelup in the City of Albany late on Thursday night and remained in place on Friday afternoon.
