TINGALPA is proving popular with home buyers, with three sales making it into the southeast Brisbane region’s top 10 sales this week.

According to CoreLogic, three properties priced between $600,000 and $620,000 sold in Tingalpa, as well as the week’s bargain buy, a townhouse at 1819 Wynnum Rd, for $340,000.

Ray White Wynnum Manly property consultant, Deanna Rudd, said she was shocked by how many people expressed interested in 8 Flores Close, which sold for $610,000.

“We had it probably listed too high in the beginning, the vendors were unrealistic in the beginning, but once they hit the right mark with pricing, the phone just never stopped ringing,” Ms Rudd said.

“Tingalpa is certainly somewhere if I had more properties to sell in that area they’d just walk out the door.”

She said after more than 40 groups of people inspected the home, it sold to a young family who would move from Camp Hill.

“One works in the city, one works up at Camp Hill work, so to them it was location,” she said.

“It ticked all the boxes, it had a pool, it was a lowset, four bedrooms, security, airconditioning, great sized backyard for entertaining, so it really just did have pretty much everything that people look for.”

Ms Rudd said most buyers interested in the Tingalpa area were interested in the proximity to the Gateway Arterial and the circle of schools in the area.

“It is one of those areas where you can access the different schools around it,” she said/

“You can do a big circle right round Tingalpa and get to all the schools that people have already got their kids into and don’t want to change them.”
