Hub Australia has entered a long term commitment to the historic ‘Georges’ building located at 162 Collins Street, Melbourne.
Savills Australia Director of Office Leasing Phillip Cullity negotiated the lease for Hub Australia who will operate their co working business across three levels of the building.
The building was identified years earlier by Savills as a perfect fit for Hub and Mr Cullity said this opportunity allows Hub Australia to gain a foothold in the Paris end of Collins Street.
“The building has a retail arcade on the ground level linking Collins and Little Collins Street, a restaurant and bar in the basement and offices on the upper levels,” Mr Cullity said.
The Georges building originally constructed in 1883 is one of Melbourne’s most iconic properties once being the famous Georges department store which operated at the premises until 1995.
The building underwent a $25 million refurbishment in 1999 however, still retains its period features and design elements from the original Architect, Sir Terence Conran of London.
