Square 44 have committed to a five year lease with plans to take the Tea Tree Gully region to new café style vibes.
Savills Australia Natasha Bertram arranged the lease for Square 44 and said the space is ideally located in order for the café to thrive.
“Square 44 will bring something to the centre that it is missing and will be great amongst the mix of tenants that include Foodland, Chemist King and the Golden Grove Tavern”, Ms Bertram said.
The new café located at 246-264 Grenfell Road, Surrey Downs will bring hype and buzz to the centre and the three owners will concentrate on delivering excellent coffee, breakfast and light lunches.
“We chose this location as the centre is in a busy neighbourhood and there is a need for a place where locals can have a coffee”, Part owner, Chantelle Dean said.
Olympic BMX cyclist Anthony Dean, also one of the owners, says Square 44 will attract all age groups in seek of casual dining.
Abbier Ivas, who completes the partnership, is excited to bring a modern café to the centre with the aim to create an atmosphere that can increase the liveliness of the area.
Renovations of the space are being undertaken now and Square 44 will be opening in about four weeks.
