A funky red brick, saw-tooth Adelaide CBD warehouse that has now transformed into a modern office building will become home to Built Environs Pty Ltd.
Adam Hartley and Zandra McGee of Savills Office Leasing negotiated the five-year lease for the 161 Wakefield Street, Adelaide property and said the tenants were lucky to secure a rare warehouse styled building.
“The existing fit is a mixture of meeting rooms, offices and a large open plan area with data cabling to workstations, providing for a quick and cost effective relocation which was a huge selling point,” Mr Hartley said.
“Built Environs Pty Ltd was initially drawn to the building because of its refurbished red-brick warehouse flair, which is in high demand in the leasing market at the moment,” Ms McGee said.
Whilst Built Environs Pty Ltd will reconfigure the space slightly, the fit-out is well suited to their working culture and Mr Hartley says the space provides for a well-rounded working environment.
“The open plan area has a very spacious and collaborative feel which encourages connection between different teams whilst the large kitchen and break out area is highly sought after by many tenants,” Mr Hartley said.
