The $60 million Halls Head Commercial Centre in Mandurah, Western Australia is entering its next milestone phase with construction commencing on Stage 2 of the retail precinct.
The first-class development by Cape Bouvard Developments is designed to be flexible and includes up to 15 showroom retail tenancies across 9,200sq m of floor space.
Directly across the road from Bunnings Warehouse, the Halls Head Commercial Centre will be built by WA’s major commercial building company, Perkins Builders.
Savills Retail Leasing Director Chris Ireland said “Retail tenancies for lease are proving popular with interest from local and national large format retailers in automotive, pet, lifestyle and electrical sectors requiring large showroom spaces."
At Thursday’s sod turning event, Cape Bouvard Development Manager Tristan Cribb said “Repco have confirmed their interest and is one of the first retailers to select the Halls Head Commercial Centre as their new store destination. Interest in the Halls Head Commercial Centre is growing as Stage 2 literally comes out of the ground."
Perkins Builders Project Manager Michael Pitts said “We are excited to partner with Cape Bouvard on building this state-of-the-art showroom precinct and expect works to be complete in May 2019 with retailers opening their doors soon after."
Tenancy sizes start from 150sq m and can be amalgamated to create spaces of over 1,500sq m. The opportunity for a new café at the centre is also planned.
Once complete, the new Halls Head Commercial Centre will create a new destination that Halls Head residents can shop locally for a broad range of goods and expand the already established shopping precinct with Bunnings Warehouse, Coles, Kmart and Aldi.
