BUYERS are flocking to Pimpama’s golf and lifestyle community Halcyon Greens, with more than half of the homes in its latest stage snapped up on the day they were released to the public.

Lifestyle developer Halcyon launched its third stage late last year, securing $9 million in sales on the launch day.

Halcyon joint-managing director Doctor Bevan Geissmann said they brought the latest offering forward to cater for growing demand.

“We had a number of potential buyers interested in this offering, which is why we brought the launch of stage three forward, and demand is reflected in the strong take-up,” Dr Geissmann said.

“We are finding the property market is strong despite all the talk of it slowing down, and Halcyon Greens is proving that to us time and time again with our outstanding facilities and the Gainsborough Greens Golf Club next door attracting buyers who are looking for a lifestyle change.”

Halcyon Greens is in Pimpama’s Gainsborough Greens, which is on a 34ha island parcel surrounded by wetlands and a golf course. It will have more than 500 homes on completion.

Properties in the community’s third release are priced from $485,000 to $725,000.

Two and three-bedroom homes with open plan living and outdoor entertainment areas are featured in the latest stage.

All of the homes are within walking distance to the recently launched first phase of leisure facilities, including the floodlit bowling green, eight pickleball courts and tennis court.

Dr Geissmann said local buyers, particularly southeast Queensland residents, had snapped up most of the homes sold in the third stage so far.

“We expect to see the final homes in stage three move quickly, and as always are excited to welcome new homeowners to our community,” he said.

“We wanted to downsize when it suited us, and we’re both still working so by no means are we slowing down,” Mrs Ryan said.

“But we didn’t want to leave it too late and find ourselves isolated on our big block in Shailer Park.

“We’re most looking forward to living among like-minded people who are looking out for each other while we enjoy the amazing facilities on offer. Ray is very sporty and loves golf so he’ll be right at home with the golf club down the road, and he’s looking forward to getting into pickleball.

“I’m a pool girl myself, and we will also be spending a lot of time on the bowling green.”
