Sweeping views and a holiday vibe was what attracted Michael Roff to his house at Cornubia about six years ago.

Mr Roff, his wife and two children had been living in surrounding suburbs for some time and could not pass up the opportunity when the property at 148 Roderick St came to market all those years ago.

Kick back by the bar, jump in the pool, or just gaze out at the view.

“It was just a really unique property with a great view,” Mr Roff said.

“It’s nearly a resort-style feeling with the way it is laid out.

“It’s got a pool and big vistas out into the Cornubia valley.”

There is an open-plan kitchen, dining and living space.

The house is three-level house has four bedrooms, a study, an open-plan kitchen, living and dining room, and a media room.

On the lowest level outside is a huge deck, with a bar and outdoor kitchen overlooking the pool and view beyond.

Floor to ceiling windows provide panoramic views.

But it is upstairs, in the middle level, that is Mr Roff’s favourite space in the home.

“This open-plan room has floor to ceiling windows that allow you to look out over the pool and the green landscape in front,” he said.

The kitchen is large.

There was also the addition of a custom aquarium in the wall between the laundry and lounge room that Mr Roff labelled one of his favourites.

“The opportunity was there to cut out the wall, I love fish and it is very peaceful,” he said.

“It’s a showpiece and not a lot of homes have that installed in the wall.”

One of the home’s three bathrooms has a double vanity.

He said he would remember times spent entertaining friends and his twin son and daughter growing up in the home.

“We were always having barbecue on the deck or splashing in the pool. It is a very dynamic house in the way it’s structured, and enables the kids and adults to split into different zones when you have everyone over.”
