A new development at Milton is attracting young professional first home buyers because of its prime location and proximity to Brisbane’s CBD.

Aura will feature 82 apartments in one tower across 20 levels, with three levels of car parks.

Construction has started on the project and is expected to be finished by 2020.

About 70 per cent of the apartments and ground floor retail space has sold.

The top two levels are dedicated to three-bedroom apartments only.

Position Property director Richard Lawrence said Milton was chosen as a development site as there were very few infill sites so close to the CBD as well as lifestyle amenity.

Mr Lawrence said the exceptional city views from the rooftop set Aura apart from other projects, while also being affordable to all potential residents.

Resident amenities include a rooftop barbecue, podium level lap pool and gym.

Currently only three one-bedders are available (no car park), two bedrooms priced from $530,000 and three bedrooms from $840,000.

Aura, Milton is located close to Suncorp Stadium.

Tarragindi homeowner Kath Owen and her husband Kent have bought a one-bedroom apartment plus multipurpose room at Aura.

The couple said they were attracted to not only the location and the design of the building, and the apartment itself, but the idea of purchasing a property off the plan was also appealing.

“It’s allowed us to lock in the property that ticked all our boxes, while giving us the time for our adult children to move out of home to enable us to downsize, Mrs Owen said.

“It’s close to work, the South Brisbane lifestyle and the city, as well as being within walking distance of Suncorp Stadium – no more arguments over who the designated driver is on Broncos game days!”

Mr Lawrence said the project was also attracting downsizers from the mid-outer western suburbs wanting to move closer to the city and be just over the bridge to the cultural precinct and South Bank.
