Hugely popular Brisbane Broncos captain Darius Boyd is set for a busy start to the NRL season, ramping up his side hustle a week out from kick-off against the Melbourne Storm.
Gold Coast born Boyd, who marks 13 years in competition this year, retired from representative football last year in a bid to focus on his club game — and to prepare for life after footy.
By all accounts, Boyd is in peak form, not just on the footy field but also in side hustle, with he and wife Kayla churning out a jawdropping dream home a year ago — which has just hit the market for sale.

No price has been set for the stylish home which features a designer kitchen, low maintenance pool and a dedicated media room with projector to catch those replays.
Flipping high end property is something the couple hope to turn into a full-time gig post NRL — with Kayla Boyd providing much of the lead on this front.
The social media influencer who has almost 50,000 followers on Instagram steered much of look and feel of the two property transformations they completed last year — their four bedroom Hendra home in Brisbane’s northside and a single bedroom seaside unit they called the Bohéme Beach Bode on the Gold Coast.
A big hint of the impending sale was dropped mid last month by Mrs Boyd on her popular Instagram account.
“Catching the reno/build itch, time for number two we think,” she posted. “Not sure how we’re going to say goodbye to this one once we eventually decide to put her on the market.”
When prompted by one of her followers, custom furniture firm Raw Sunshine Coast (RSC), to “imagine what you could create for your next one”, she said “I know right! That’s why we’re so pumped we learnt SO much with this one and also our little beach apartment and have so many fresh ideas. We kind of want to combine the two haha. Def will need to feature some RSC too.”
