It remains an interesting time for the Sydney Office Leasing market, with the lowest vacancy rate since 2011 presenting limited options for occupiers looking to relocate and opportunities to capitalise remain rare.

In light of these market conditions, the Savills NSW Office Leasing team is working closely with its clients to unlock suitable prospects as demand remains strong.

To help with this demand, Savills has appointed Guy Baseby who joins the team as an Associate. Guy spent the last two years focusing on the City fringe market where he established a solid stake in the market. Originally from Brisbane and starting out in residential sales, Guy has developed quickly into a high achieving leasing agent. 

According to Tom Mott, Savills State Director – NSW Office Leasing, “Our team is focused on providing service excellence and adding value to our clients. Despite the somewhat challenging market conditions, we have strategically built a diverse team with different skillsets to complement the needs of our clients. 

“Guy’s brokerage skills and wealth of knowledge in the industry has seen him complete a number of high profile deals and Guy will work closely with our team focusing on brokerage and institutional leasing appointments within the Sydney CBD,” he continued.

The Savills Office Leasing Team has also promoted Chris Rowe to the role of Associate Director and Liz Braithwaite to the role of Senior Executive.

“Joining Savills in 2011, Chris is an integral part of the NSW Office Leasing Team. His involvement in brokerage transactions and major leasing projects has generated results highly regarded by his clients.

“Liz has shown rapid growth and performance in the NSW Office Leasing team since joining us last year. 

Her ability to produce a high volume of work whilst always preserving a high level of excellence is applauded,” said Mr Mott.

The Savills Australia Office Leasing team also has the advantage of the national Savills platform made up of capital markets, occupier services, property management, project management and research.
