A Stirling home offers a relaxing lifestyle within walking distance of the town’s shops, cafes and popular hotel.
Grant and Melinda Norton bought the property four years ago, attracted by its location, and have since renovated it inside and out.
Suburbs where it’s cheaper to buy than rent
“We’ve landscaped all the gardens, we’ve redone the fencing, added an electric gate, renovated bathrooms, knocked out walls, added a new kitchen, painted throughout and put in new carpets – we’ve done a lot of work,” Mr Norton says. “It’s a beautiful place to live and so low-maintenance, which is rare in the Hills.”
The home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a range of indoor and outdoor spaces that Mr Norton says make it a great entertainer.
“It’s safe, secure, close to schools and works perfectly for entertaining because the kids can be upstairs while the adults are on the middle level, and the firepit out in the garden brings everyone together,” he says. “There are different zones where people can hang out and get their own space. We’re relocating back to Sydney and we know we won’t be getting anything like this there, so saying goodbye will be hard.”
