This incredible waterfront home at East Gosford was snapped up by local family.

A waterfront home in East Gosford has sold prior to marketing for one of the highest prices on record.

The property at 23 Wharf St was sold by Adrienn Szakacs from Prestige Property Terrigal to a local family for $2.55 million.

Perched right on the water’s edge with panoramic Brisbane Water views, highlights include a custom built kitchen with stone benchtop, entertainment decks overlooking the water and a designer plunge pool featured in the centre of the house.

“The property has a great floorplan,” Ms Szakacs said.

The home received over $100,000 in renovations in 2016 and was sold 18 months ago as a holiday house for $2.5 million.

The vendors were not using it as much as they would have liked, so decided to sell up.

According to CoreLogic, the sale was the third highest residential sale on record for East Gosford.

The top sale is a waterfront mansion at 39 Caroline St, which sold in 2014 for $4.05 million.

The property is just a few houses down from a waterfront site that local millionaire John Singleton snapped up last year for future development.

Singo’s company Bonython splashed over $6 million on side-by-side blocks on Caroline St, with potential plans including a marina, public ferry wharf or commercial shops.
