French-inspired interiors are a highlight.

Hocking Stuart Persichetti Elsternwick director Len Persichetti kicked off the July 20 auction with a $2.65 million vendor bid.

Agent Alby Tomassi relayed the only other bid by phone from a prospective buyer who couldn’t attend.

The home was built in 2012.

Negotiations began straight after 52 Harold St was passed in short of its $2.9 million reserve.

Mr Tomassi said two more parties joined the negotiations after a deal could not be reached with the sole bidder and he was confident a sale would be inked within 72 hours.

The French-inspired property with a $50,000 Lacanche oven was built in 2012 for Ms Coronica, the co-owner of Vaporetto Bar and Eatery in Hawthorn.

The kitchen, with $50,000 oven, is a centrepiece of the home.

The cellar with wine and cheese display area is another highlight.
