A regional Victorian horse stud — once home to 1989 Melbourne Cup winner Tawrrific and connected to billionaire businessman Robert Holmes à Court — has trotted on to the market.
Fiona and Phil Sloane bought 565 Muskerry East School Rd, Muskerry, and named it Ridgeview Park seven years ago.
Several winners have been sired at the property during their time there, including One More Honey, which claimed a Boxing Day victory at Royal Randwick in 2016.

The Sloanes’ predecessors, Sanctuary Lodge, hosted Tawrrific.
It’s also believed the late businessman and horseracing enthusiast Holmes à Court stationed horses at an earlier stud operated from the property.
“I know he had a connection with the property, whether that was because he had mares here or stallions here, I’m not 100 per cent,” Ms Sloane said.
The 104ha property offers facilities for breeding, including stabling for 19 horses and several residences. It’s expected to rein in more than $900,000.
Despite their industry successes it’s the house that will be the hardest part to leave behind, with Ms Sloane saying “wherever I go I’d love to pick the house up and take it with me”.
The four-bedroom, two-bathroom house set in established gardens is joined by a self-contained one-bedroom unit, an office and a pair of cottages that could lodge workers.
The property’s horse facilities include stabling for 19 horses, two dams and extensive water tank storage.
“And it’s a beautiful area, with a really good climate — and we will miss all that, definitely,” Ms Sloane said.
An adjoining 35.6ha of pasture and paddocks with a dam is also up for grabs for about $200,000.
