Westpac bought BT Financial in 2002 and now Mr Walker has a new job as a general manager leading the transformation, strategic reset and integration of BT into Westpac Group.

Bradfield Cleary’s Georgia Cleary, who sold them the remarkable property on a 592 sqm block, now has a guide of $10 million to $11 million in an expressions of interest campaign.

Previously a boarding house with horse stables behind, the residence was transformed for more than $4 million by Alex Smith of CSA Architects in 2010, with interiors by Arent & Pyke.

The grand terrace at the front of the property was built in 1882. The whole renovated complex consisting of the original home and the stables that are joined had been the home of the McGrath family, previously featuring in Belle and Mansion Australia.

The house is luxuriously appointed with remarkable finishes and has an industrial look under huge four-metre high ceilings.

The former stables are well-appointed and the massive kitchen, dining and family area opens onto a private garden.
