This 1930s Tudor-style home is at the top of Holland Park’s best street and has beautiful character features, stunning views and a striking street presence.

Owner David Harris bought the property at 20 Percival Tce in 2010 after falling in love with the classic style of the home.

“I’ve lived in a number of homes and this has the most homey and comfortable feel,” he said.

“I like relaxing in the living area and the home is on a friendly street in a great location.”

Mr Harris said he was told by a long time Percival Tce resident that each owner of Number 20 has added something to the home.

In the case of Mr Harris, it was a garage at the front of the home and paving around the pool area.

“I made sure everything new matched the original house,” he said.

The home was designed by architects Blackburne and Gzell and built in 1936 by builder John Dredge for solicitor Leo Catt.

“The story I was told, and I have no way to ensuring if it’s true, was that Mr Catt got married, took his new wife on a honeymoon and then carried her over the threshold of the newly constructed home,” Mr Harris said.

The home is set over three levels and is beautifully presented.

The main level has an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area opening to a deck and a family room opening to the poolside courtyard.

The master bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite and on the upper level there are three more bedrooms and a bathroom.

A laundry, toilet, multipurpose room and patio are on the lower level.
