COULD this be the best view in Wye River?
With breathtaking 360-degree vistas of the coastline, the modern ‘glass house’ is certainly in a league of its own.
Great Ocean Road Real Estate, Lorne agent Michael Coutts said the new three-bedroom house at 7 Sturt Court occupied arguably the most dramatic location in Wye River.

It’s perched above the ridge line on the most southerly tip of the town’s point, with ocean views to both the north and southwest.
Mr Coutts said the owner had applied to build a second level to capture the panorama, while the other properties in the street only had views in one direction.
“It’s right at the end of the court and it’s the only one with 360-degree views,” he said.
“The home is called the ‘glass house’ and that’s what it is like.
“I thought of it like living in a lighthouse.”
The house has been listed for sale with price hopes of $2.15 million.
The upper level has an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with sliding doors opening onto a large terrace.
There’s no need for artwork, with strategically placed windows on every wall framing a different view.
Each of the three bedrooms downstairs also has an impressive outlook.
Two of the property’s boundaries adjoin Crown land.
Mr Coutts said while the house wasn’t big, it would be ideal for a couple, small family or a holiday rental appealing to the weekend market.
He said sales had bounced back in Wye River since the 12-month anniversary of the 2015 bushfires.
“Fifty-five pieces of land have sold since the fires and 50 homes have already been built,” he said.
