A SPRAWLING Bellarine Peninsula property with bay views, a tennis court and manicured gardens may not seem like a natural fit for downsizers.

They paid $1.625 million for the four-bedroom house at 43-47 High Ridge Drive.

It’s the third highest sale ever recorded in Clifton Springs, behind two waterfront properties with private bay access, according to CoreLogic.
Fletchers, Queenscliff agent Richard Poynder said the new owners were moving from about 5km away.
“They are basically downsizing for a Bellarine Peninsula farm,” Mr Poynder said.
“We had good interest … the amount of people who were looking at that listing was as high as I have ever seen.
“The views from the property were outstanding.”
The large house, in one of Clifton Springs’ premium locations, is positioned to take in views across Corio Bay to the You Yangs.
It offers several living zones, including a formal loungeroom, reception room and open-plan hub with a Hampton’s style kitchen.
The main bedroom suite occupies its own wing, which comes with a private balcony overlooking the bay, his and hers walk-in wardrobes and huge ensuite where you can soak in a bath with garden views.
A large covered outdoor entertainment area is the ideal spot to watch the sunset.
