Cassandra Thorburn has bought a new home on the north shore, a few months after selling the luxury waterfront mansion at Cremorne she bought with former husband Karl Stefanovic in the months before they split.
Ms Thorburn, a long time resident of the north shore, has bought a renovated three-bedroom home brimming with Art Deco charm and contemporary features.

It is believed she paid more than the $2.3 million agents were guiding on the property. That agent would not comment on the sale price or the identity of the buyer, however title records are expected to confirm the deal later this month.
This has been a big year for the journalist, children’s author and media personality, who has become a familiar face on the small screen, as a popular contestant on Dancing With the Stars, and a regular on the morning chat show Studio 10.
The Cremorne waterfront property was sold in August, reportedly as part of the final settlement between Ms Thorburn and her former husband of 21 years, Karl Stefanovic.
The property, which was in Ms Thorburn’s name according to CoreLogic, reportedly sold for more than $9 million.
They had planned to create a family home at the unfinished property, but split before the sale settled.
Ms Thorburn, who revealed to the Mosman Daily in July that the Wonga Rd property was never intended to be her “forever home”, worked closely with developer Tony Blanche, to finalise the floorplan and internal design elements, and the home was completed in 2017.
She described the project as a “labour of love”.
“I am extremely happy and proud of the end result,” she said.
She also said at the time that she planned to stay in the area when the property was sold.
“I have lived on the north side for 14 years and love it,” she said.
