Petrusma Property sales manager and senior property consultant Tegan Rainbird said the property was “certainly rustic, with much TLC needed. Some see it as a complete renovation or a knockdown and start again project,” she said.

“However, it’s certainly the character and charm of this historic home that is attracting interest from people that want to restore the cottage to its former glory.”

Tegan said the property’s popularity since hitting the market had been huge.

“We have been inundated with interest and inspections over the last week,” she said.

“The current owners are selling reluctantly.

“They had hopes of restoring the cottage over time and are emotionally connected to the home.

“However, due to lifestyle changes they have decided to put the property on the market.”
