A waterfront home built by the founder of a Geelong jewellery dynasty is selling for the first time.
The two-bedroom semi-detached house with incredible views from the promenade to the yacht club at 52 Eastern Beach Road, Geelong, is scheduled to be auctioned on February 27.
Price hopes are $1.35m-$1.485m.
Paul Castran, who is executor of the estate and a conjunctional agent said Frank Duff, founder of the five generation family business, had built the homes at the corner of Fitzroy Street after purchasing the mansion, Longville House.

Mrs MacKinnon died last November.
“This is the first time this property has every been offered in what is a very tightly held area,” he said.
“The house is two bedrooms, two bathrooms, has got a full ensuite and plenty of robes.
“It’s all on one level and it’s got a magnificent open kitchen, meals and family room which overlooks that northerly aspect across the baths and the marina and the water.
“It’s all visual even when you’re sitting down, whether you’re standing in the kitchen, sitting in the living area, sitting at the kitchen table, you look out across the water — it’s quite spectacular.”
“It’s an opportunity for someone to get a piece of history and get a very fine property.”
McGrath, Geelong agent David Cortous said Eastern Beach Road was undoubtedly Geelong’s most premium residential strip.
“There’s not too many properties there and the opportunities come up very few and far between, so that’s a very special piece of real estate for the region,” he said.
“It’s the best real estate I think in the region in front of Eastern Beach there because it’s got views of the yacht club, Corio Bay and across the promenade from inside the home, so it’s something special.”
Mr Cortous said there has already been a lot of local and Melbourne interest in the property.
