The Maynards’ Brighton East family home has hit the market.

Collingwood defender Brayden Maynard’s childhood home is on the market, after more than two decades in his family’s hands.

The 24-year-old’s parents, Donna and Peter Maynard, have listed the four-bedroom pad at 10 Beenak Avenue, Brighton East, with a $2.2-$2.4m price guide through Nick Johnstone Real Estate.

“We’ve had some amazing memories here,” Ms Maynard said.

“Brayden and all our kids have had all their birthday parties here every year and were always playing footy and basketball in the street.”

“They would often go next door to the oval at Brighton Secondary Collage and kick the footy around there too.”

Maynard — who’s notched 116 AFL games since being drafted in 2014 — moved out about 18 months ago to a house “just a kilometre away,” Ms Maynard said.

“It’s a great entertainment backyard with the pool and he gets back here a lot,” she said.

Her husband added the outdoor space was a highlight of the property, in addition to the location, which was ideal for the family’s “active lifestyle”.

The 818sq m block was the “last house” in the quiet cul-de-sac, within the Dendy Park precinct, with easy access to Church Street, shops and restaurants.

Mr Maynard said the family had completed “cosmetic” updates to the property over the years, which included the addition of the pool.

The renovated home is set to be auctioned on February 27.

The family said they will miss the lifestyle location of the property.
