A Stirling home is a safe and tranquil haven and, being set on more than 1.22ha of land, offers plenty of space for children to play, or for a retired couple to enjoy gardening while allowing their pets room to roam.

Vendor Pip bought the home at 7a Snows Road in October 2019, falling in love with its picturesque setting.

“It’s just beautiful – it’s an amazing place with amazing gardens and the house just works really well,” Pip says.

“I have hosted some lovely family gatherings here and it would be perfect for entertaining.

“The home flows really well and it’s a beautiful property.”

Since buying the home, Pip has made a number of updates to the property, including installing downlights, chandeliers, repainting, installing quality blinds and curtains, and planting roses and fruit trees in the garden.

“I’m a retired interior designer so I have an eye for detail and quality and this really is a beautiful build of a really high standard,” she says.

Architecturally designed by Pauline Hurren, the home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, three living areas and a cellar, and features a 2015-built Robert King conservatory with comfort glass.

The cabinetry has been done by Pfitzner Furniture, and the home has a Bose speaker system, a monitored security system, a gas fire and a new slow combustion heater.

As beautiful as the home is, Pip says its location was one of the biggest drawcards.

“We’d go out for breakfast to The Patch and everything you need is nearby, and the neighbours are lovely and really welcoming,” she says.

“It’s just such a pretty area, I’m really lucky to live here.”

The property is set over two titles – a 9125sqm allotment, and a 3068sqm block, and has a bore-fed automatic irrigation system to keep the garden green and lush year-round.

As much as she’s loved it, it’s now time to downsize and let someone else enjoy the home.

“I’ll be very sad to leave it,” Pip says.

“It’s too big for just one person now – it probably needs a retired couple or a family here to really get the most out of it.”
