Dermott Brereton is selling his 19 Sea Parade, Mentone, home.
AFL Hall of Famer and Hawthorn football club great turned commentator and TV personality Dermott Brereton has listed his Mentone home with a “ripper gym”.
After seven years at the 19 Sea Pde house that boasts a sprawling four-car basement garage, currently hosting a pool table and pinball machine, Brereton is believed to be looking to downsize.
The former footy enforcer enjoyed immense success on the field, kicking 464 goals and played in five premierships during his 211-game career that included short stints with Collingwood and the Sydney Swans.

The Mentone house has a light and bright decor that will suit those with an art collection.
The four-bedroom home is listed with a $2.5m-$2.75m that could come close to adding $1m to the $1.85m Brereton paid for it in 2015, according to title records.
JP Dixon Brighton boss Jonathan Dixon would not comment on the house’s owner, but said No. 19 was a “smart and modern” fit for families.
“It’s near the beach, but not right on it,” Mr Dixon said.
“And the home has views of the bay with an enormous garage and a ripper gym.”
Indoor-outdoor entertaining is a snap in the open-plan living zones.
The comprehensive home gym is the perfect spot for a workout.
The home’s interior is decked out with travertine tiles, high ceilings, as well as Calacatta marble surfaces in the kitchen that is fitted with Gaggenau appliances and a Liebherr integrated fridge.
The main bedroom features Emperador marble in its ensuite as well as a balcony with bay views.
Rounding out the package is a home office, a media room and basement gym with a powder room and workshop that compliments garage space for four cars.
In addition to being walking distance to the beach, the house is also a drop-punt from Mentone Girls’ Grammar School and local shops.
A marble kitchen makes for a solid, but gorgeous cullinary heart to the home.
The basement is currently decked out with everything from a pool table to a pinball machine.
No. 19 Sea Parade is listed for private sale.
